Another Open Consultation
Added on 31/01/2010

Stondon Stompers and the SRA are holding an open consultation this Saturday 6th February to present their ideas for a new purpose built home for the pre-school group. These plans are still in their early stages and we would like to know what the village thinks of them so far.

The meeting will be held in the Village Hall, Hillside Road between 10am and 12am this Saturday.

All are invited to come along and see the plans and ask any questions they may have.

You can see the poster here: http://www.stondon.net/newsletter.php?issue=Stompflyopenmtg6-2-10.pdf

We hope to see you there.

Great excitement in the village today as we had snow for the second time this year! Hoorah !!

Everyone rushed up to the "Stondon Ski Slope" @ The Rec and had a great time.

You can see pictures of them enjoying themselves in the Gallery.

Christmas Tree Festival
Added on 14/12/2009

The church was decked out with lovely Christmas trees all weekend and everyone enjoyed having a good look at them - and voting for their favourite. There were some lovely entries, and a lot of hard work had been put in, but in the end the most popular by public vote was the Mexican themed tree from the SRA. Congratulations to the SRA's creative team - Sandy, Astrid and Maggie.

The winner of the beautiful Cake on the Raffle was Jean Gough. Congratulations to her.

The PCC would like to thank all those who supported the event.

You can see pictures of all the trees on the Gallery page.

Santa visits Stondon
Added on 14/12/2009

All Saints Church's Christmas celebrations kicked off this weekend with a drive through the village by Santa Claus and his sleigh. He ended up at the church where hot dogs, soup, mulled wine and mince pies were on offer, and the kids had a lucky dip in Santa's sack of presents.

Santa's told us he had a lovely time in Stondon, and is very sorry if he missed anyone. He promises to be back next Christmas, though, and hopes to see even more of you then !

You can see photos of his visit on the "Gallery" page.
