Stondon is a thriving village situated in mid Bedfordshire and like many villages there is a lot more to Stondon than you might think! Hence the purpose of our website, to collate all there is to know about Stondon in one place.
This website tells you about our amenities and the numerous activities which take place in Stondon, about the businesses in Stondon and the history of our village. It is intended to be both useful and interesting.

CBC Play Rangers come to Stondon again.

The CBC Play Rangers are coming to Stondon Park (The Rec) with their wagon load of play and art equipment twice during the summer holidays - July 24th and August 26th.
All Play rangers are CRB checked, and children of all ages are welcome to attend.

SRA Camp-out de-brief.

A whole load of stalwarts turned up for the SRA Camp-out on the coldest and windiest day we've had all month!
Despite this, and as usual, everyone had a great time. The kids loved the bouncy castle - and all that space to run around in. We found another fab band who enjoyed themselves so much they asked if they could come again next time! And no Camp-out would be complete without Ade'n'Dawn's lovely songs, DJ Chris' funky mix, and the festive fire-pit!
One of these days we'll get the weather right - but where would the fun be then ?!?!

New Wanderbus !

The Wanderbus has taken delivery of its brand new bus. We'll all be sorry not to see the familiar yellow bus coming through Stondon, but trust me - the new one is much more comfortable!
Why don't you give it a try - you can find the timetable on the "Local Info" page under Public Transport - Bus.

The latest new arrival on Stondon.net is the brand new Wanderbus homepage.
The Wanderbus is a volunteer run Community bus service and from Stondon you can go to Hitchin, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Stevenage. All Wanderbus timetables are available on this page.
Everyone at Wanderbus is getting excited about the imminent arrival of their new bus - more news next month.
